We know this campground as St. Lucie South. It's a federal campground. We LOVED it there. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean. The campground was quiet, clean, and just peaceful to be there. We have plans to return soon.
One of those best little secret locations which is exactly as advertised in every facet of their brochures and website. The staff go out of their way to ensure everything within their power is to be done to enhance your stay. If your looking you get away and find quiet and peace this is it! The amount of varied and interesting wildlife is to be stated categorically and the proximity of it is a photographers dream.

Nice quiet place, well maintained. Fun watching the boats going up and down the locks. Otters, alligators and rabbits among other wildlife.
